Maine Department of Labor Commissioner Featured Event Speaker

(January 16, 2020) – The new year brings new changes for employers - Verrill will examine recent legal developments in labor and employment law and discuss what is on the horizon for 2020 during the firm’s Annual Employment Law Update. The full-day conference will take place on Thursday, January 30 at The Westin Harborview Hotel in Portland.

The Program will cover a variety of topics including 2019’s most significant changes in labor and employment law; hot button issues on the horizon; diversity, inclusion and the impact of implicit bias; the SECURE Act; and AI and wearable technology in the workplace, to name a few. Attendees will also hear from featured speaker, Maine Department of Labor Commissioner Laura Fortman in the afternoon session.

Tickets are $195, with discounts available for groups of three or more, and include breakfast, lunch, valet parking and a networking reception concluding the event at the Top of the East. The program is approved for 7 SHRM PDCs, 7 HRCI general credits, and 7.5 CLE general credits.
