2021 Employment Law Annual Update Series: Part Six

June 17, 2021 at 9:30am10:30am
Virtual Series

Join us for the sixth part of our 2021 Employment Law Annual Update! The virtual series will continue through the year on the third Thursday of each month.

This year, we are taking every precaution to make sure our clients and our community stay safe during the pandemic and, as a result, we are making our usual one-day conference into a virtual series spread out over 2021. Participants will be provided with the information they need to navigate the ever-changing labor and employment landscape, as well as CLE and SHRM credits to meet any licensing requirements that participants may have.

Part 6: Summer School Back to Basics: The Family and Medical Leave Act

The Family and Medical Leave Act and its interplay with workers’ compensation, the Americans with Disabilities Act, state leave laws, and COVID-19 leave laws creates some of the most puzzling situations that HR Professionals grapple with on a consistent basis. Join Verrill attorneys Tawny Alvarez and Emily Coombs for the sixth installment of the Labor and Employment Practice Group’s Annual Update. This is a beginner’s class on the FMLA and its inter-relationship with other leave laws. The presentation will include hypotheticals and links to resources to assist HR Professionals in creating internal policies and procedures that comply with current best practices.

Webinars are 60 minutes each and provide 1 Maine CLE and 1 SHRM credits.
