Attorney Benjamin Ford Speaks at The 2018 Summit for Retailers and Grocers of Maine

October 10, 2018
Pineland Farms

15 Farm View Road, New Gloucester, Maine 04260 United States of America

The Retail Association of Maine and the Maine Grocers & Food Producers Association have teamed up to launch this year's Summit, bringing together Maine's business community, including retailers, grocers, food producers, and industry partners for a day full of education and inspiration.

Registration and breakfast will be followed by a series of breakout sessions, where labor and employment attorney Benjamin Ford will be presenting on the 'Top 10 Legal Issues for Small Business' in the first session. The description to Benjamin's session is as follows: "Success! But more inventory, more customers, more locations, and more employees mean more risk. As your company grows, so too must the legal infrastructure supporting your company. It's time to take stock of where you stand on legal issues such as corporate structure, employment policies, employment agreements, dealer agreements, data protection, trademarks, trade dress, I.P. licenses, tort liability, etc. This will be an informative discussion of how legal risks change as companies grow."
