Prominent Attorneys Join Verrill’s Family Law Practice

January 23, 2020 Press Releases

(January 23, 2020) – Verrill is pleased to welcome attorneys Nancy O’Donnell and David Friedman to the firm’s Boston office as the newest members of its Family Law Group. The addition of O’Donnell and Friedman, as well as Hannah Zukoff, who joined the firm in late 2019, further strengthens Verrill’s Family Law Group, which is established as one of the preeminent family law practices in New England.

Regina Hurley, co-chair of Verrill’s Family Law Group said, “We are delighted to have Nancy and David join the firm. Both have established practices and well-earned reputations in the Greater Boston area. Their addition provides even more depth and perspective to our team.”

Nancy O’Donnell has more than 30 years of experience handling cases at the trial and appellate levels in the state and federal courts of Massachusetts. She represents and defends clients in divorce proceedings, family law litigation, child custody cases, contempt, and modification proceedings. She also negotiates and prepares prenuptial, postnuptial, and relationship agreements for high net-worth individuals. O’Donnell is often privately appointed by peer attorneys to arbitrate, conciliate, and mediate divorces. She received her bachelor’s degree from Boston College, magna cum laude, and earned her law degree from Boston College Law School. She currently serves as a member of The Council for Women of Boston College.

David Friedman guides clients through all aspects of family law matters, including divorce, modification, and enforcement (contempt) proceedings. With more than 15 years of experience, his cases frequently involve closely held businesses, valuation of commercial and residential real estate, trust interests and inheritance, and complex compensation structures, as well as domestic relations related appeals. Friedman currently serves as the Family Law Section Co-Chair of the Boston Bar Association and is a founding member of the Greater Family Law Inn of Court. Friedman received his bachelor’s degree from Colby College and earned his law degree from Suffolk University Law School.
