Biography

Jeff is an experienced health care and life sciences attorney with years of firm and industry practice in both health care and life sciences companies. He has deep experience working with federal, state, and international administrative and regulatory agencies to help clients achieve business and strategic objectives.

Jeff represents companies and individuals in internal and external investigations, audits, and enforcement actions. He assists clients in assessing and remediating legal and compliance risks and evaluating potential self-disclosure to regulators. He led the development of compliance and privacy programs in health care and life sciences companies and can advise on compliance structures and best practices.

Prior to joining Verrill, Jeff has worked in both legal and compliance officer positions. He worked for Tufts Health Plan as Senior Associate General Counsel and for the last five years as Chief Compliance and Ethics Officer. He previously worked for EMD Millipore Corporation as an Assistant General Counsel and then as Head of International Trade Compliance. Jeff spent the first seven years of his career at WilmerHale LLP in the Litigation Department and a member of the Government Investigations Practice Group. He graduated from Harvard University in 1996 and the Georgetown University Law Center in 1999.

Jeff lives in Brookline, Massachusetts with his wife, two teenage sons, and a new puppy. He serves as the volunteer president of the Brookline Soccer Club, a nonprofit organization providing youth travel soccer opportunities to more than 650 boys and girls each year. Throughout his career and personal life, Jeff has worked to be an ally, change agent, and champion for diversity, inclusion, equity, and opportunity.
