Biography
Lisa is a specialist with over 20 years of experience administering complex trusts and estates as well as preparing federal and state estate tax returns. She provides a high level of family office services for wealthy multigenerational families in diverse locations with diverse needs. Lisa’s personal way of communicating advanced level tax and estate planning concepts and trust terms with clients builds confidence, enables effective collaboration, and promotes an overall positive and successful client experience.
Lisa customizes administration plans to focus on each client’s unique needs. She manages client service by collaborating with trustees, personal representatives, grantors, beneficiaries, investment advisors, accountants, and other professionals to ensure the administration of each trust and estate is carried out in accordance with estate plans, fiduciary standards, and in compliance with federal and state tax laws. She routinely interprets and implements sophisticated estate plans; advises on trust provisions and on administrative and tax decisions; creates and coordinates trust funding plans; oversees court related matters and filings; handles overall estate administration and settlement; and manages real estate, business, and other special assets as part of the administration of trusts and estates. Lisa often utilizes her expertise to consult and collaborate on fiduciary litigation cases with Verrill litigation attorneys through strategic planning and mediation and trial preparation.
Prior to joining Verrill, Lisa was with the Wealth Management Group at Choate Hall & Stewart, the Private Clients Group at WilmerHale, and she started her career with a boutique law firm in Wellesley, Massachusetts.
