Verrill Dana Attorney Elected Chair of Connecticut Bar Association Litigation Section

(July 11, 2019) – Verrill Dana litigator Andrew Nevas has been elected Chair of the Connecticut Bar Association (CBA) Litigation Section, effective July 1, 2019.

A nonprofit member service organization for lawyers in the state of Connecticut, the CBA is dedicated to advancing the legal profession and the principles of law and justice. The Association has more than 70 sections and committees, and produces more than 400 programs each year.

As Chair of the CBA Litigation Section, Nevas will be responsible for leading one of the CBA's largest sections. Nevas will be in charge of the section's programming, as well as leading efforts to advocate and lobby for issues of importance to section members.

With 30 years of experience practicing law in Connecticut, Nevas is committed to supporting the state's legal community. His current practice focuses primarily in the field of matrimonial and probate litigation, representing both corporate and individual clients in a wide variety of matters in both state and federal court, as well as in arbitration proceedings.
