Finding Capital: Fryer to Moderate at 2016 Mainebiz Momentum Convention
(10/31/2016) – Verrill Dana attorney Greg Fryer has been selected to participate in Mainebiz U at the 2016 Mainebiz Momentum Convention on Wednesday, November 9 at the Augusta Civic Center.
Fryer will moderate a panel on, "Finding capital: Where's the new money to fund your business growth?" The panel will explore the marketplace for capital in Maine, as well as discuss resources and best practices for lending, crowdfunding and angel investing. Panelists will also cover what investors are typically looking for when considering providing capital for a business.
Fryer is a corporate and securities lawyer with more than 30 years of experience helping boards of directors navigate their most complicated legal challenges. Fryer's practice is focused on capital formation, advising a range of companies and investors in Maine. He is a member of Maine Angels, an important source of capital for growth companies in this State. He also helped design and draft Maine's crowdfunding statute, and is a frequent speaker and writer on Federal and State rules on raising capital.
