For Many High-Octane Professionals, Retirement is Not an Option
Verrill Dana Health Care attorney Jim Roosevelt resumed his law practice two years after stepping down as the CEO of Tufts Health Plan. He joined Verrill Dana's Health Care Group at the age of 72, an age beyond which many executives would normally have retired. In a May 3, 2018 Boston Globe article entitled "For Many High-Octane Professionals, Retirement is Not an Option," Jim serves as an example of a new generation of aging executives, who prefer to keep busy and mentor younger professionals rather than retire. Jim currently serves Verrill Dana's Health Care clients on a part time basis from the firm's Boston office, and serves as a mentor to the firm's younger attorneys. He is also active in state and local politics, and continues to advise Tufts Health Plan on a limited basis.
