John C. Elstad Joins Verrill Dana’s Boston Office
(2/2/2016) Verrill Dana is pleased to announce that attorney John C. Elstad has joined the firm's Litigation and Trial Group in Boston. John was most recently at Murphy & King, PC and, prior to that, Brown Rudnick LLP.
John assists clients with sophisticated commercial litigation and commercial bankruptcy. He has successfully handled a wide variety of litigation, including real estate matters such as removing cloud from title, rights to the escrow after a failed closing, eviction of a holdover mortgagor, and a Court of Appeals case involving the improper distribution of foreclosure proceeds. He has also been involved with organizational matters such as the dissolution of a partnership or the removal of members of a LLC, numerous contract disputes and even a suit alleging unfair business practices before the NLRB and a suit alleging fraud on the court. He has handled numerous claims, preference and lease re-characterization disputes as well as asset sales and is particularly skilled at appellate matters.
John has practiced in Boston and New York City since earning his law degree, summa cum laude from the University of Mississippi School of Law after receiving his Bachelor of Science degree from McGill University.
