USA Today: Attorney James Roosevelt, Jr. Comments on Amazon, JPMorgan Chase and Berkshire Hathaway Health Care Collaboration

February 25, 2018 Media Mentions

Verrill Dana attorney James Roosevelt, Jr. was recently quoted in an online article featured in USA Today entitled "How Amazon, JPMorgan, Berkshire could transform American health care." The article discusses the collaboration between Amazon, JPMorgan Chase and Berkshire Hathaway, which seeks to transform the American health care system. The coalition is being led by Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, Berkshire CEO Warren Buffet, and JP Morgan Chase CEO Jaime Dimon.

According to James Roosevelt, Jr., the coalition's disavowal of profit motives is a strategic move towards fundamentally transforming the American health care system, "Bezos and Buffett very much understand playing the long game instead of the drive for quarterly earnings – and that's essential in trying to solve the problems in health."
