Verrill Dana Attorney James Goggin Recognized as IP Star for Fourth Consecutive Year

June 26, 2018 Press Releases

(June 26, 2018) – Verrill Dana attorney James Goggin has once again been individually recognized as a distinguished IP attorney in Managing Intellectual Property's 2018 IP Stars Guide. This is the fourth consecutive year that Goggin has been recognized for his intellectual property practice, on both the patent and trademark lists.

Goggin has more than 35 years of experience litigating and trying jury cases nationwide in the intellectual property area, including trademark, broadcast licensing fee agreements, copyright infringements, trade secrets and patent litigation. He has handled patent cases in technologies as diverse as medical devices, internet browsers and applications, computer networks, radio devices and biometric payments in federal courts across the U.S. His clients have included Ralph Lauren's Polo Fashions, Hinckley Yachts, Fox, Morgan Stanley, and Computer Software Associates. He earned his law degree from Stanford University and his undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from Georgetown University.

The IP Stars Guide, compiled annually by Managing Intellectual Property since 1990, is based on rigorous and impartial research. Firms cannot vote for their own inclusion or solicit votes from colleagues, and to be included, a firm must receive a large number of recommendations from peers and clients.
