Verrill Dana Honors Vanny Neov with Annual Roger A. Putnam Community Service Award
(October 23, 2018) – Verrill Dana announces Vanny Neov, a legal assistant in the firm's Boston office, as the 2018 Roger A. Putnam Community Service Award recipient for her charitable work and, in particular, her role as a Play Space Activities Leader for the Horizon for Homeless Children in Newton.
Neov coaches children from infancy to six years old through the Play Space program to manage various behavioral problems that stem from trauma, such as an experience with the Department of Children and Families System or domestic violence. Neov and the program team work to encourage positivity and interrupt the cycle of violence.
"We are proud of Vanny for her commitment to her community and are glad to honor her for her work with the Horizon Homeless Children Play Space program," said K.C. Jones, Managing Partner of Verrill Dana. "Vanny is a great representative of the firm's longstanding tradition of giving back and strengthening our communities. We value the individual efforts of Vanny and fellow staff and attorneys who, together, are truly making a difference by supporting the causes they find important."
Verrill Dana created The Roger A. Putnam Community Service Award in 2014 in honor of Verrill Dana attorney Roger Putnam, whose more than 50 years of service to the firm have exemplified the ideals of service to the community and to the legal profession. The award is given annually to recognize a Verrill Dana attorney or staff member who embodies the spirit of community service through volunteerism, leadership inside or outside the firm, fundraising and advocacy. Each year, a $1,000 donation is given to the charity of the honoree's choice. This year's donation will go to the Horizon for Homeless Children.
