Verrill Dana Welcomes Three New Summer Associates
(June 22, 2016) – Verrill Dana welcomes Malina Dumas, Hale Melnick and Alexander Porter as summer associates in its Portland, Maine office.
Malina Dumas, currently a student at the University of Washington School of Law, was most recently an international development program manager at the Volunteers for Economic Growth Alliance, working to ensure compliance with U.S. government rules and regulations, as well as supporting business development efforts. Prior to that, she was a contractor and intern / outreach and communications coordinator at the Migration Policy Institute and a Fulbright Scholar in the Republic of Moldova. Dumas received her master's degree in Eurasian, Russian and East European Studies from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service and her bachelor's degree in Russian Language & Literature, cum laude, from Wellesley College.
Hale Melnick, currently a student at the Boston College Law School, was most recently a summer associate at Rath, Young & Pignatelli, P.C. and a judicial intern with the Hon. Paul Barbadoro at the U.S. District Court for the District of New Hampshire. Prior to that, he was a summer legal intern for the Boston College Law School's Post-Deportation Human Rights Project; and membership manager for the Access Fund. He received his bachelor's degree in International Political Economy, with a minor in Spanish from Colorado College.
Alexander Porter, also a student at the Boston College Law School, was most recently a judicial intern for Hon. Jon D. Levy at the United States District Court for the District of Maine. Prior to that, he was a legislative aide and executive assistant for the Office of United States Senator Angus S. King, Jr. Porter began his work with Senator King as a financial compliance intern on his Senate campaign. He is also currently a class agent for the Bowdoin College Office of Alumni Relations. He earned his bachelor's degree, cum laude, in Government and Legal Studies from Bowdoin College.
