Verrill Welcomes Esteemed Corporate and Securities Attorney Edward Rosenthal

(June 10, 2020) – Verrill is pleased to welcome corporate and securities attorney Edward Rosenthal to the firm as a member of the Business Law Group. Rosenthal brings with him more than 40 years of experience covering a diverse array of matters and transactions, with particular focus on the representation of financial institutions and other public companies in disclosure and related corporate law matters.

Prior to joining Verrill, Rosenthal served as Deputy General Counsel for The PNC Financial Services Group, Inc, and was responsible for legal support of the company’s public disclosure and public company compliance. He was Head of the Corporate and Securities Practice Group, which also covered corporate governance, corporate finance, and other aspects of balance sheet management, mergers and acquisitions, private equity investing, and executive and equity compensation, in addition to disclosure. He was actively involved in implementing the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and the governance, disclosure, and compensation provisions of the Troubled Asset Relief Program and the Dodd-Frank Act. He supported the Corporate Ethics Office, primarily in conflict of interest and financial or accounting-related issues.

Rosenthal received his bachelor’s degree from Carleton College, cum laude, and earned his legal degree from Columbia University School of Law. He is admitted to practice in California, New York, and Pennsylvania.
