Verrill Dana attorney Jim Cohen co-authored an Op-Ed article published in the August 10 edition of the Portland Press Herald entitled, "Commentary: Portland City Charter Well-Designed, but it Can't Force Trust, Collaboration." In the article, Jim and co-author Pam Plumb argue that Portland benefits from having both an elected mayor and a city manager, and that the main issue with the city's leadership is its inability to work collaboratively. As a former mayor of Portland, Jim is often called on to comment on current issues impacting the city.
