Keith E. Glidden

        Partner

Keith assists clients by effectively resolving disputes, whether through settlement, mediation/arbitration, or litigation. He advocates for clients in all aspects of civil and regulatory litigation and appeals, and is practical and conscientious when guiding clients through the process of resolving a dispute in state or federal court.

Although Keith has experience in a wide variety of civil and regulatory matters, he focuses on business, real estate, land use, and fiduciary litigation, including Trust and Estate litigation and ERISA litigation. Keith also assists clients with administrative appeals and litigation with state and federal agencies.

Before joining Verrill, Keith served two years as a law clerk for the Honorable Alexander H. Sands of the Massachusetts Land Court, where he participated in the adjudication of numerous appeals of municipal board decisions related to Massachusetts land use permitting and litigation related to claims of right, title, or interest in real property. Keith served as a commissioner for five years on the City of Salem Conservation Commission, and now serves as Commissioner for the Town of Hamilton, where he is involved in hearing matters concerning the Massachusetts Wetland Protection Act and Hamilton Conservation Bylaw.

During law school, Keith served as a law clerk for the Office of Administrative Law Judges for the Environmental Protection Agency in Washington, D.C., where he participated in the adjudication of administrative appeals of federal agency permit decisions and enforcement actions. Keith has also written and spoken on litigating standing in de novo land use appeals to the Massachusetts trial courts and on trial practice techniques.
