Verrill’s Business Law Group provides legal services to corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships, business trusts, and other business entities at all stages, operating across a wide range of industries in diverse markets. In providing corporate legal services, we work with stakeholders of all kinds, including management, officers, boards of directors, majority stockholder groups, and minority stockholders. Our goal is to be seen and relied upon by the client as a trusted advisor and a valued team member.

We assist corporate clients with their governance needs, including getting appropriate input and authorization from stockholders, directors, and officers for decisions regarding finances, strategic planning, management, ownership succession, and similar matters.

We regularly advise boards of directors and board committees on their obligations and rights under corporate governance and state and federal securities laws, including in their fiduciary roles.

Our tax and business attorneys complement our clients’ management, including their in-house finance and external accounting teams, and other advisors, to elicit the appropriate information at the appropriate times, ensuring that our clients’ needs are stated, understood, and met in accordance with applicable laws and standards.
