Verrill is acutely aware that success as a firm depends upon having talented, motivated, and dedicated professionals in every position who are committed to client service. We pride ourselves on providing a working environment that is collegial, collaborative, and respectful.
Verrill provides an excellent platform for experienced lawyers to continue building their practices successfully. We have the resources, the infrastructure, and a collegial team approach to client service that allow laterals to continue to provide world-class service to existing clients while continuing to grow professionally and personally.
Our attorneys are fortunate to practice in some of the most desirable locations in the United States. The firm is able to offer our attorneys not only interesting legal work with first-tier clients, but also a quality of life that is rare among law firms of our size.
We have long recognized that Verrill’s success is dependent on our ability to find and retain the very best people. A supportive community and sensitive employment policies and benefits programs help ensure that our attorneys achieve “life success” in addition to a rewarding and challenging legal career.
Verrill’s Associate Development Committee serves as a connection between associates and management and is tasked with supporting the firm’s integration, development, and retention of highly competent and productive lawyers. In addition, the Committee oversees the Mentoring and Peer Contact Programs and assists in the formal training of associates.
Our Associate Mentoring Program matches each associate with an experienced partner who provides guidance and support. All new associates are also paired with a more senior associate, who serves as a Peer Contact and can provide a sounding board and personal insights regarding the firm. Having a peer contact is invaluable for addressing concerns associates often have about professional and personal fulfillment.
In addition to a competitive salary and a full range of employee benefits, we offer the following programs to help with a diverse array of needs to achieve work/life balance.
