Mary’s wide-ranging practice includes complex commercial litigation, land use and property disputes, and eminent domain law. She has been involved with trials before the Massachusetts Superior Court, the Massachusetts Land Court, and the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, along with appeals before the Massachusetts Appeals Court and Supreme Judicial Court.
Before joining Verrill, Mary served as a judicial intern in the chambers of the Honorable Allison D. Burroughs of the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts and an intern in the Trial Division of the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office. Prior to law school, she also worked as a legal analyst in a large intellectual property firm, honing a familiarity with IP work and an appreciation for innovation.
Mary has a working fluency in Spanish due to her undergraduate study of international social movements and human rights in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
When she’s not in the office, Mary can be found baking, traveling, or spending time (preferably near the water) with her family in Rhode Island, where she was born and raised.
