        When: May 1, 2025 at 11:00am – 12:00pm (EDT)
        Location: Zoom

Verrill invites Maine employers to join us for an informative webinar in which employment attorneys Tawny Alvarez and Elizabeth Johnston will provide a comprehensive analysis of the Maine Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Standards and Wage and Hour Division’s recently published Annual Report on Wage and Hour Complaints and Violations in 2024. This session will focus on the most prevalent violations of 2024, offering a detailed examination of statutory requirements and recommended practices to maintain compliance. Participants can expect in-depth discussions on the most prevalent violation including violation of statues related to the employment of minors (which accounted for over 800 reported violations in 2024), accurate record-keeping practices (resulting in nearly 15,000 violations), and other frequently cited wage and hour issues, including timely wage payments, overtime, and minimum wage violations.
