        Michael Sides Michael Sides

        Mike is responsible for managing the Information Technology operations of the firm, as well as providing strategic insight and leadership to position the firm for profitable growth and efficient operation.

        Mike joined the firm in 1987 as Verrill’s first IT hire and was elevated to the firm’s first CIO in 2023. As a member of Verrill’s Senior Leadership Team, Mike collaborates with the Chief Operating Officer, Managing Partner, General Counsel, and Executive Committee to achieve the firm’s strategic goals. He also works closely with the firm’s lawyers and staff, and oversees a large team of managers and IT professionals in the areas of telecommunications, user support, system engineering, and training.

        Mike has played a critical role in the firm’s progression through generations of technology. He has lead every major IT implementation and development project in the firm’s modern history, numbering in the hundreds. Most recently, Mike led the firm’s transition to a cloud-first strategy to position itself as a technology-leading firm. Mike is also a critical member of the firm’s Cybersecurity Committee.

        Outside of the office, Mike enjoys family time and outdoor activities, especially boating and fishing, and is a life-long Celtics fan.
