Sharon Belisle
Paralegal
As an experienced litigation paralegal, Sharon has participated in civil jury and non-jury trials throughout New England, New York, and Florida, in cases involving complex personal injury, product liability, medical malpractice defense, health care law, qui tam and whistleblower actions.
Sharon collaborates closely with the trial team and our clients analyzing and developing strategies in all phases of the case from initial intake through discovery, trial and appeal. She is involved with investigations, preparing expert witnesses, legal and medical research, developing witness examinations, drafting pleadings and discovery responses, designing trial exhibits, and participating in jury selection and trial. She assists with technology during remote and courtroom trials and hearings. She has been integral in assisting with multi-week “parachute” cases involving catastrophic losses. She provides internal support and training for the firm’s eDiscovery software programs, and coordinates with outside eDiscovery service providers.
Sharon graduated from the University of Southern Maine, Paralegal Studies Program. She has prior experience leading and facilitating seminars through the Institute for Paralegal Education and participated on a Maine State Bar Association panel. She has also presented at the firm’s Litigation & Trial Group meetings. She previously held positions as the President, Vice President, and Publicity Committee Chairperson for the Maine State Association of Legal Assistants.
Sharon is a Certified Legal Project Manager through the LPM Institute and is certified in Westlaw. She is proficient in various litigation and trial presentation platforms, and is qualified as an administrator with various eDiscovery applications.
