Verrill attorney Chris Lockman recently participated as a speaker at the 2025 Annual Conference of the National Association of College and University Attorneys (NACUA).

The session, “Employee Benefits: Keeping Compliant in an Evolving Environment,” addressed current compliance challenges and regulatory developments affecting institutional benefit plans. Topics included the ongoing implementation of SECURE 2.0, recent federal guidance and upcoming deadlines; developments in mental health parity, family planning, and inclusive benefits; fiduciary breach litigation involving health and welfare plan fiduciaries; and updates on 403(b) fee litigation.

Chris contributed legal insight alongside another panelist, offering practical guidance for navigating these evolving issues.
