Verrill’s Bob Keach was recently featured in a Law360 article discussing Congress’s move to double the long‑standing per‑case fee for Chapter 7 trustees.
Bob noted that the increase will help reduce losses trustees often face in no‑asset cases and strengthen overall retention within the bankruptcy system. “By doubling the fee, you would at least make it more feasible for Chapter 7 trustees to continue in place,” he told Law360, adding that the change should help stabilize the trustee panel.
