Verrill Expands Connecticut Presence with New Greenwich Office and Leadership Appointment

Verrill Expands Connecticut Presence with New Greenwich Office and Leadership Appointment

GREENWICH, Connecticut and WESTPORT, Connecticut – Verrill is pleased to announce that the firm has continued to expand its Connecticut presence with the opening of its new, larger Greenwich office located at 66 Field Point Road. The firm has also appointed Calvin Woo as Partner in Charge of its Connecticut offices in Westport and Greenwich, where he will lead the firm’s continued strategic growth within the state.

Woo will split his time between the Westport and Greenwich offices as the firm builds on its momentum in Connecticut. Verrill now has more than 20 attorneys practicing in its Connecticut offices, a number that continues to grow following the addition of eight attorneys at the end of 2025, with additional hires anticipated in the coming months.

“We are thrilled to welcome a talented group of attorneys and professionals to our team and to establish our new office in Greenwich,” said Scott Anderson, Managing Partner of Verrill. “Verrill has a long history of serving clients in Connecticut, and this expansion builds on years of growth and investment in the state and across the region. By strengthening our presence in Fairfield County, we continue our tradition of combining deep local relationships and insight with the capabilities and resources of a larger full-service firm to better serve our clients.”

Verrill celebrated the 10th anniversary of its Westport office last year, marking a decade of growth following the firm’s first significant expansion into Connecticut, though its presence in the state extends back more than 15 years. The opening of the Greenwich office represents the next chapter in that evolution, building on an established foundation in Fairfield County. Together, the firm’s Westport and Greenwich offices reflect Verrill’s sustained growth in the region and its continued focus on meeting client needs as they evolve.

“This is an exciting time of strategic growth in the state, which has further deepened our bench and broadened our capabilities for delivering the comprehensive and highly targeted sophisticated legal services that our clients expect of us. I am humbled and grateful for this opportunity to lead and support my colleagues through this on-going expansion of our Connecticut-based operations,” said Woo.

In addition to his new leadership role, Woo also serves as Co-Chair of Verrill’s Litigation and Trial Group and is a member of the firm’s Executive Board. He maintains a robust commercial litigation practice, focused on complex business and civil disputes, investigations, and enforcement actions. He is also active in the community, serving on multiple nonprofit boards and participating in numerous bar associations.
