Verrill Recognized by WMTW for Partnership Supporting Hunger Relief in Maine

Verrill was recently featured in coverage by WMTW News 8 for its role in a collaborative effort to combat food insecurity across southern Maine.
Verrill partnered with the Maine Mariners and Evergreen Credit Union as part of the “Goals for Food” initiative during the 2025–2026 hockey season. Through this program, Evergreen Credit Union and Verrill donated a combined $75 for every goal scored by the Mariners on home ice, resulting in more than $11,000 raised to support hunger relief efforts.
On June 16, Verrill, Evergreen Credit Union, and the Maine Mariners presented a check benefiting the Maine Credit Unions’ Campaign for Ending Hunger, a statewide initiative that directs 100% of funds raised to local food pantries and hunger-relief organizations.
The funds will help provide critical support to organizations serving families throughout southern Maine, including local food pantries and community programs addressing food insecurity.
