Chief Human Resources Officer
Chrissie oversees the management of Human Resources and Legal Support operations within the firm, offering strategic guidance and leadership to foster talent development and support across the organization.
As a member of Verrill’s Senior Leadership Team, Chrissie collaborates with the Managing Partner, C-Suite, General Counsel, and Executive Committee to achieve the firm’s strategic goals. Chrissie plays a critical role in the firm’s growth and talent acquisition. She also works closely with the firm’s lawyers and oversees a large team of managers and professional staff. In addition, she has been instrumental in employee management and relations, ensuring alignment with legal regulations and fostering a positive work culture conducive to delivering exceptional legal services. Chrissie oversees improvement in employee retention rates, implements diversity and inclusion initiatives resulting in a more representative workforce, and streamlines HR processes to enhance operational efficiency while maintaining compliance with legal standards. Chrissie also serves on the firm’s DEI and Community Service Committees.
Chrissie joined the firm in 2021 as Verrill’s Boston Office Administrator and soon transitioned to the Director of HR later that year. She was then elevated to the firm’s Chief Human Resources Officer in January 2023. Before joining Verrill, Chrissie accumulated over 24 years of comprehensive law firm experience across all tiers of law firm support, operations and leadership, spanning global, regional, and boutique firms in both Texas and New England.
When Chrissie is not working, she can be found alongside her husband at their kids’ sporting events, local community service events, reading, drawing, and spending quality time with the best of friends and her very large, very expansive family in Texas, Michigan, and Chicago.
