Keefe is an experienced regulatory and administrative law attorney with an extensive background in legal and regulatory issues impacting telecommunications, broadband, cable, energy, and technology service providers operating in complex regulatory environments. Keefe has substantial knowledge and experience with a wide range of issues affecting those companies, such as facilities and service deployment, securing and maintaining operational authorizations, data privacy, cybersecurity, broadband deployment, mergers and strategic transactions, and AI implementation and governance. He has also represented companies in State Attorney General investigations and before state and federal courts.
Keefe leverages his years of experience to help clients navigate the legal and regulatory landscape. He is a passionate advocate focused on providing clients with high-quality legal advice and representation, safeguarding client interests, and helping them achieve their business goals. Keefe brings a proven track record of delivering high-quality legal advice and representation and the ability to manage and develop teams, build strong stakeholder relationships, and handle complex, high-stakes matters with professionalism and integrity. He is also the Co-Chair of the firm’s Data Privacy and Security Practice, a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US), and a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
Before joining the firm, Keefe was a vice president and deputy general counsel at Verizon, one of the world’s largest technology and communications services providers. Leading a team of legal and regulatory professionals, Keefe represented the company before state regulatory commissions, attorneys general, and in state and federal courts. Additionally, Keefe worked closely with the company’s State Public Policy teams on legislative advocacy and ensuring compliance with lobbying matters.
