BOSTON, Massachusetts – Verrill is pleased to welcome Keefe B. Clemons to the Firm’s Energy, Telecommunications, and Natural Resources Group as Partner, resident in the firm’s Boston office.

Clemons is an accomplished regulatory and administrative law attorney with an extensive background in the legal and regulatory issues impacting telecommunications, broadband, cable service, and technology service providers operating in complex regulatory environments. Clemons has substantial knowledge and experience with a wide range of issues affecting those companies, such as facilities and service deployment, network reliability, data privacy and security, broadband deployment, and mapping, and he provides regulatory advocacy and compliance counseling. Clemons has also represented companies in State Attorney General investigations and before state and federal courts.

Clemons leverages his years of experience to help clients navigate the legal and regulatory landscape. Clemons brings a proven track record of delivering high-quality legal advice and representation and the ability to manage and develop teams, build strong stakeholder relationships, and handle complex, high-stakes matters with professionalism and integrity.

Before joining the firm, Clemons was a vice president and deputy general counsel at Verizon, one of the world's largest technology and communications services providers. Leading a team of legal and regulatory professionals, Clemons represented the company before state regulatory commissions, attorneys general, and in state and federal courts. Additionally, Clemons worked closely with the company’s State Public Policy teams on legislative advocacy and ensuring compliance with lobbying matters.

Clemons received his bachelor's degree from Princeton University, his master’s degree from the University of Oxford, and his law degree from Harvard Law School.
