Carolyn Gilbert Nominated to Maine PUC

On March 28, Governor Janet Mills nominated Carolyn “Carrie” Gilbert to serve a six-year term on the Maine Public Utilities Commission. For the past 15 years, Gilbert has worked at Daymark Energy Advisors where she provides consulting services on renewable energy and economics, policy design, and competitive energy procurement models.

In appointing Gilbert, Governor Mills noted: “Carrie Gilbert’s expertise in renewable energy policy will be a vital asset to the Maine Public Utilities Commission as it works to ensure a responsible, affordable and reliable energy future for the State of Maine and its people.”

Gilbert is a graduate of Dartmouth College and the University of Michigan. She will be replacing Commissioner Randall Davis, whose term ends at the end of March. Davis was nominated six years ago by former Maine Governor Paul LePage.

Gilbert’s nomination is subject to review by the Legislature’s Joint Standing Committee on Energy, Utilities and Technology, and final confirmation by the Maine State Senate.
