Penobscot Valley Senior College “Planning as a Gift to our Heirs”
Verrill Partner Karen Holyoke will be presenting as part of a seven-session course for Penobscot Valley Senior College. With virtual and in-person options in Bangor, Maine, Karen will present Session 4 on October 14, “Legal and Financial Essentials.”
What would your family need to know if something happened to you tomorrow? Would they know your wishes, where to find important documents, or how to make difficult decisions on your behalf? This seven-session course is designed to help participants thoughtfully prepare for the future while reducing stress and uncertainty for loved ones. Topics include normal aging, end-of-life care and Maine’s Death with Dignity Act, rightsizing and decluttering, legal and financial planning, burials, cremation, obituaries and organizing and sharing important information.
Planning ahead is about more than paperwork. It’s about providing clarity, reducing burdens, preserving family harmony, and creating peace of mind. Join us as we explore practical tools and important conversations that can become a lasting gift to those we leave behind. No matter your age or stage of life, it’s never too early to begin planning ahead.
