Massachusetts Insurers Receive $100M from Obamacare

On March 11, 2021 Boston Business Journal published an article, “Feds have paid Mass. insurers over $100M from Obamacare settlement,” discussing that the cash influx could reduce premium increases in the third quarter of 2021. Attorney Jim Roosevelt was quoted in the article, saying “The rebates have to be determined and once that is done, and final financials for 2020 are completed, there will be a clearer picture of surpluses and what third quarter rates will look like.”
