PORTLAND, Maine – Verrill attorneys Roger A. Clement, Jr. and Robert J. Keach have been featured in the 2026 Lawdragon 500 Leading Global Bankruptcy & Restructuring Lawyers list.

Honorees are selected through a national process that combines peer and firm submissions, competitor input, and independent journalistic research, followed by a rigorous vetting process conducted by Lawdragon with guidance from a board of attorney peers, colleagues, and clients.

Clement advises businesses and lending institutions on restructurings, creditors’ rights, bankruptcies, mergers and acquisitions, and commercial litigation. He has extensive experience representing secured creditors, debtors, trustees, and other stakeholders in Chapter 11 proceedings, guiding companies through reorganizations and representing lenders in asserting their rights. Clement has worked with clients across a wide range of industries and has successfully defended businesses against preference and fraudulent transfer claims. He is a fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy and is a frequent speaker on commercial law topics.

Keach’s practice focuses on bankruptcy, reorganization, and workouts. He represents debtors, creditors, creditors’ committees, asset purchasers, and other stakeholders in complex bankruptcy matters and has appeared before bankruptcy courts nationwide.
