Verrill Attorney Jonathan M. Dunitz Elected to the Executive Council of the National Conference of Bar Presidents

PORTLAND, Maine – Verrill attorney Jonathan Dunitz has been elected to serve on the Executive Council of the National Conference of Bar Presidents (NCBP).

The NCBP was founded in 1950 and brings together past, current, and future bar presidents to share insights, strengthen leadership skills, and address challenges within the legal profession. The NCBP Executive Council serves as the governing board of the organization, which is dedicated to empowering, connecting, and inspiring bar leaders and organizations across the United States. Council members are selected through a nomination and election process held annually at the NCBP Annual Meeting.

As one of five newly elected members, Dunitz will serve a three-year term beginning August 2025, contributing to NCBP’s strategic direction and committee initiatives that promote innovation, leadership development, and collaboration among bar associations nationwide.

“I am humbled, excited, and proud to serve on the Executive Council,” said Dunitz. “I am truly looking forward to working with this amazing group.”

At Verrill, his diverse practice includes energy, water utilities, telecommunications, food and beverage law, insurance coverage and litigation, commercial litigation, appellate advocacy, and meditation. He represents clients in regulatory, trial, and appellate matters.
