        Verrill Welcomes Partner Andrew M. Walsh to Firm’s Business Law Group

        WESTPORT, Conn. – Verrill is pleased to welcome Andrew M. Walsh to the firm’s Business Law Group as Partner, resident in the firm’s Westport office.

        Walsh focuses his practice on counseling businesses of all sizes, including startups, investment funds and large corporations, as well as their individual principals, on a variety of legal matters. He provides strategic advice on private securities offerings, shareholder matters, limited partnership opportunities, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, restructurings and other complex legal issues.

        He has particular experience advising family offices in connection with their private investments and serving as outsourced general counsel for businesses in a variety of industries and areas, including blockchain, social media, construction, consumer goods and finance. Walsh also advises clients with respect to the formation of captive insurance companies and regulatory compliance.

        Walsh earned his law degree from Fordham University School of Law, where he was a member of the Fordham Intellectual Property, Media & Entertainment Law Journal. Walsh also received his M.B.A. from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College while he co-founded an investor-backed electronics trade-in service, and he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Government from Georgetown University. Walsh is admitted to practice law in Connecticut and New York, and is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association and the Connecticut Crypto Forum.

        Prior to his legal career, Walsh served as an adjunct English professor at Universidad Technológica Equinoccial in Quito, Ecuador.
