Verrill’s Jennifer Novo Honored by the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Maine for Commitment to Pro Bono Service

PORTLAND, Maine – Business Restructuring and Insolvency attorney Jennifer Novo has been honored by the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Maine for her Commitment to Pro Bono Service.

The United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Maine recognizes attorneys who have demonstrated an exceptional commitment to pro bono and public service in bankruptcy and related areas of law. Through their generosity and dedication, these volunteers help strengthen the integrity of the bankruptcy system and promote meaningful access to justice for individuals who may come before the Court. The Pro Bono Honor Roll celebrates their ongoing service and steadfast commitment to the public, and the Court is deeply grateful for their continued support. Honorees will be recognized at the 2026 District of Maine Judicial Conference.

Novo represents debtors and creditors in a wide range of bankruptcy matters, including Chapter 11 reorganizations, asset sales and acquisitions, and bankruptcy‑related litigation. Prior to joining Verrill, Novo practiced at a prominent New England law firm and completed a two‑year clerkship with the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Massachusetts.

Novo received her law degree from the University of Minnesota Law School, and her undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago.
