Verrill’s Peter F. Durning Elected to Environmental Business Council of New England Board of Directors
BOSTON, Mass. – Verrill is proud to announce that Peter F. Durning has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Environmental Business Council of New England (EBC). He succeeds Verrill attorney Thomas A. Mackie, who previously served on the Board for 22 years.
EBC is a non-profit organization that brings together leaders from environmental and energy sectors to exchange ideas, share experiences, and promote growth. Its mission is to foster business and job development across both established firms and emerging ventures in the environmental and energy industries.
Durning is a seasoned environmental attorney with a focus on solid waste, water, and wetlands-related matters, including litigation, enforcement defense, land use, and permitting for a variety of organizations, industries, and public sector clients. In addition to permitting and associated litigation matters, Durning performs environmental due diligence for real estate transactions, development contracts, and corporate transactions.
Durning has been an active member of the EBC for ten years. He is the past Chair of the EBC’s Water Resources Committee and the current Vice-Chair of the EBC’s Solid Waste Committee. Durning received his law degree from Boston College Law School, and his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame.
