Katharine’s clients value her thoughtful approach to their personal planning goals and objectives.
As a member of the Private Clients & Fiduciary Services Group, Katharine focuses her practice on a broad range of trusts and estates matters. She creates sophisticated lifetime gifting structures, tax-efficient estate plans, and irrevocable trusts designed to transfer wealth to the next generation while minimizing tax exposure and addressing family dynamics. She counsels clients on estate administration and settlement, business succession planning—including strategies for family-owned enterprises and closely held businesses—and international estate planning for clients with cross-border assets. Katharine also serves as a professional trustee of family trusts, managing the administration, distributions, and fiduciary duties.
Before joining Verrill, she was an associate at a Wellesley-based law firm, Margolis & Bloom, LLP.
In her free time, Katharine enjoys spending time at the beach with her husband, daughter and Australian labradoodle.
