The Connecticut legislature was busy enacting a wide range of employment laws last session, including An Act Concerning Workforce Development and Working Conditions in the State as well as An Act Concerning Online Safety (the C.A.R.T. Act).  Both pieces of legislation enact extensive requirements for employers with employees working in Connecticut—either in a remote capacity or based on the Company’s place of business.  Changes to pay and benefit disclosures, overtime pay notifications, limitations on promissory notes between employers and employees, accommodation obligations, and the use of AI in employment decisions are only a few of the topics that will see a change based on recent legislation.  Please join host Andrew Walsh and labor and employment attorneys Tawny Alvarez, Erik Peters, Elizabeth Johnston, Hannah Owings-Saturley, and Cyrus Cheslak as they discuss these recent amendments to CT law and best practices for creating policies and practices that are compliant with the new standards.
