Rackemann Attorneys Named to the Inaugural “Top Lawyers” List by Boston Magazine

Boston, MA, December 1, 2021— Boston law firm Rackemann, Sawyer & Brewster announces that Ellen M. Harrington (Trusts and Estates Law) and Brian M. Hurley (Real Estate Law) were selected by their peers for inclusion in the first-ever Top Lawyers list produced by Boston Magazine.

Harrington serves on the firm’s Executive Committee and chairs Rackemann’s Trusts and Estates Department. A highly-regarded Boston lawyer, she concentrates her practice on the administration of trusts and estates and in estate planning. She has significant experience helping professional and family executors and trustees with sophisticated administration, tax and probate issues.

Hurley chairs Rackemann’s Litigation Department. He focuses his practice on real estate-related litigation, including land use, environmental, title and title insurance claims and disputes. Hurley advises institutional, commercial and individual clients on a wide variety of litigation issues and represents them in the state and federal courts of Massachusetts.

On November 23, 2021, Boston Magazine published its inaugural Top Lawyers list, curated to showcase the region’s finest legal minds. The publication compiled the guide by inviting lawyers in the area to nominate up to three of their peers in a select number of specialties. The top vote-getters in each specialty were then reviewed by an advisory board of select lawyers, chosen for their credentials and the high number of votes they received.

Rackemann combined with Verrill on January 1, 2022. The above information was created before the combination and has been carried over from Rackemann’s website.
