        Verrill Welcomes Litigation Attorney Brian Tafel

        PORTLAND, Maine – Verrill is pleased to welcome Brian Tafel to the firm’s Trial & Litigation Group as an Associate, resident in the firm’s Portland office.

        Tafel applies his problem-solving and communication skills acquired from a background in education and coaching to find the right solutions for his clients. He is dedicated to working with clients to create and advance the most effective strategies unique to the circumstances to achieve his client’s goals.

        During law school, Tafel was a student attorney for the Youth Justice Clinic of the Cumberland Legal Aid Clinic, and a judicial extern to the Honorable Magistrate Judge Karen F. Wolf of the United States District Court for the District of Maine. He also competed on Maine Law’s Trial Competition Team. After graduating from law school, Tafel clerked for the Honorable James Martemucci and Richard Mulhern of the Maine Superior Court.

        Tafel received his law degree from the University of Maine School of Law, his masters degree from the University of Northern Colorado, and his undergraduate degree from Colorado College.
