Verrill's Andrew Ferrer Quoted in Part B News
Verrill’s Andrew Ferrer was recently quoted in Part B News’ ‘PHE or no PHE, interstate telehealth remains a legal matter' article. As part of their Ask Past B news series, the article discusses telehealth regulations and physician licensure across state lines, particularly in light of the COVID-19 public health emergency (PHE). Physicians are generally limited to practicing in the state where they are licensed, although exceptions exist. Ferrer explained, “At the end of the day, where the physician is, and where he or she is able to practice, is much more a function of the relevant state laws” than any other authority.
