This position is designed to be a full-time position. The successful candidate will be the primary expert on the applications and systems he or she is assigned to support, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues. Typical responsibilities include application operation and troubleshooting, technical research, configuring and troubleshooting hardware, and audio/video equipment support. This position includes training of attorneys and staff, either one on one or as an instructor in our internal technical training program when appropriate. Previous help desk experience is strongly preferred.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional technical and organizational skills and the ability to learn independently. A college degree in computer science, information technology or related field is preferred. A commitment to providing superior customer service is essential. Candidates must enjoy problem solving and working with others to find effective solutions to computer related issues. The successful applicant will have an understanding of the role of the IT department within a full-service law firm environment.

The Accounting Assistant is responsible for performing accounting functions to support the growing Accounting Department and the Director of Finance. Duties of the Accounting Assistant may include, but are not limited to, responding to internal and external requests for client billing information, drafting and generating invoices for clients, serving as a liaison between attorneys, legal assistants and the Accounting Department, researching and solving payment discrepancies, and performing other various accounting related tasks as needed.

The successful candidate will have a positive, can-do attitude, excellent attention to detail, strong mathematical skills, be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel), the ability to maintain workflow with accuracy and efficiency, and the ability to successfully work with others in a diverse team setting. The Intellectual Property Practice Group seeks a professional, motivated self-starter with hands-on experience to perform quality overall support for all aspects of US and foreign patent and trademark prosecution and portfolio management. Applicants should have experience with filing new US provisional and utility patent applications, corresponding directly with foreign associates and clients, to include docketing, reporting deadlines, and reviewing, processing, and maintaining assigned prosecution matters. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and computer skills.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certificate (or equivalent) with at least 2 years of U.S. and/or foreign patent and trademark filing and prosecution experience in a law firm or in-house setting. The successful candidate will take initiative within this role and have the ability to handle multiple projects with limited supervision and be a strong member of a “high performance” patent, trademark, and copyright team. The firm's Health Care & Life Sciences Group serves a broad range of clients, including hospitals and health systems; academic medical centers; ACOs, PHOs, IPAs, and similar organizations; health plans and managed care organizations; pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device companies; and other prominent entities in the health care industry. The Health Care & Life Sciences Group includes a subgroup of lawyers with particular expertise in academic and clinical research.

Applicants must have at least two years of experience, top academic credentials, strong writing and analytical skills, and high personal standards of performance. Preferred candidates will have significant experience in diverse areas of health care law, including, for example, privacy laws including HIPAA, HITECH, GDPR, and CCPA; corporate transactions; the federal anti-kickback statute, Stark law, and other fraud and abuse laws; physician contracting; and managed care. Knowledge of research law (including human subjects protection, clinical trials contracting, research compliance and misconduct, biospecimen and data repositories, federal grant systems, and FDA regulatory compliance) is a plus.
