Billing Specialist

This position is designed to be a full-time position. The Billing Specialist is responsible for performing accounting functions to support the growing Accounting Department and the Director of Finance. Duties of the Billing Specialist may include, but are not limited to, responding to internal and external requests for client billing information, drafting and generating invoices for clients, serving as a liaison between attorneys, legal assistants and the Accounting Department, researching and solving payment discrepancies, and performing other various accounting related tasks as needed.

The successful candidate will have a positive, can-do attitude, excellent attention to detail, strong mathematical skills, be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel), the ability to maintain workflow with accuracy and efficiency, and the ability to successfully work with others in a diverse team setting. The job will include posting job openings to social media, job boards and with various schools; working closely with the HR Recruiting & Development Specialist, Hiring Manager or Practice Group Chair to determine needs and ideal candidate; reviewing resumes; conducting phone screens; scheduling interviews; greeting interview candidates; making and negotiating offers; and recruiting for our summer programs. In addition to recruiting tasks, this position will also assist the HR department with file management, data reporting and other special projects from time to time.

The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience with full cycle recruiting, preferably in a legal or professional services setting.
