Verrill Attorney Kelsey McCutcheon Selected to Join the Environmental Law Institute’s (ELI) Emerging Leaders Initiative
(February 18, 2022) – Verrill associate Kelsey McCutcheon, has been selected to join the Environmental Law Institute’s Emerging Leaders Initiative. The Initiative was created to ‘connect, support, and foster dialogue amongst the next generation of rising stars in environmental law and policy.’
Kelsey assists clients with environmental and energy regulatory compliance and managing the regulatory process. While in law school, Kelsey interned with the Environmental Protection Agency, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, The Climate Reality Project, and the Potomac Riverkeeper Network. While at the EPA, Kelsey’s work focused on regulatory compliance of environmental laws and regulations at federal facilities. Additionally, while in law school, Kelsey continued her tenure at The Climate Reality Project as a part-time law clerk working with the in-house legal team. During her second year, she was a Research and Writing Fellow for the energy law exchange program in collaboration with the University of Groningen in the Netherlands.
