Verrill Elects Two New Partners

(January 26, 2021)– Verrill is pleased to announce that two of the firm’s attorneys have been elected to partner, Anya Endsley and Sarah Grandfield, both members of Verrill’s Private Clients & Fiduciary Services Group.

Anya (Ferris) Endsley focuses her practice in all aspects of estate planning, probate administration and trust administration, and counsels clients on tax planning, charitable giving and sophisticated wealth preservation and transfer strategies. She also advises families regarding planning for shared real estate, business succession planning, and counsels trustees and trust beneficiaries regarding fiduciary matters. Prior to joining Verrill, Endsley practiced as a trusts and estates attorney in upstate New York. She also clerked for two years at the New York State Court of Appeals in Albany and worked as a corporate tax associate in the New York City office of a large international law firm. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin, magna cum laude, and earned her law degree from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, cum laude. She currently serves as the Board Vice President of The Telling Room.

Sarah Grandfield advises high net worth individuals and families on all aspects of estate and wealth transfer planning. She has experience in a broad range of matters, including the development and implementation of comprehensive, tax efficient estate plans and lifetime gifting strategies designed to preserve and protect family wealth; charitable planning; the establishment of family investment vehicles; business succession planning; and estate planning for non-U.S. citizens or involving non-U.S. assets and foreign trusts. Grandfield also advises outside trustees and trust beneficiaries with respect to tax and fiduciary matters and serves as a trustee for many of her clients. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University and her law degree from Georgetown University, cum laude. She is a member of the Boston Foundation’s Professional Advisors Network and serves as a volunteer for the Boston Latin School and Georgetown Alumni Associations.
