Are We Past the Point of No Return? EEO Practitioners Discuss the Legal Implications of Remote Work Current wisdom has declared that remote work is here to stay, at least in some capacity. While employers and employees alike seem to have accepted this new normal, both groups are still grappling with its legal implications, particularly as this issue is only now percolating in the courts. Panelists will discuss the various employment law issues presented by remote work, including choice-of-law, venue, jurisdiction, hybrid and remote work as an accommodation, discrimination related to online working, and wage and hour issues. Moderator: Kim Tran, GitHub, Seattle, WA. Panelists: Tawny Alvarez, Verrill Dana, Portland, ME, Karla M. Campbell, Stranch, Jennings & Garvey, PLLC, Nashville, TN, Inka Knappertsbusch, CMS Hasche Sigel, Cologne, Germany, Cody Yorke, Outten & Golden, New York, NY.
