At the end of October, the most significant workplace policy in more than four decades, Maine's Paid Family and Medical Leave program, will become law. And while benefits won't begin being paid out until 2026, between now and then there is much for employers to prepare for as well as understand. Maine's law will create challenges for businesses of all sizes that many have never faced.
